The name's Mari.

I live in the US of A.

I was born 19 years ago.

I'm really kind-hearted, sensitive, helpful and caring (most of the time).

I got an LJ account so I can comment friends, join communities (that I already lurk), connect with people I already know and make new friends.

I'm going to college to become a massage therapist and I really enjoy learning all about the human body- how things work, are all connected, and how to fix it.

I'm kind of nerdy in the sense that I like to play video games a lot, I read and write a lot, and I actually enjoy school and learning new things.

I really like fashion (though I'm not always dressed like it), photography, art, literature, and music.

I only speak English fluently, but I can understand quite a bit of spoken Japanese (I hope to become at least semi-fluent one of these days).

I work at a Japanese restaurant and have been working there for about 1 1/2 years now.

I mainly listen to American alternative or indie rock and Japanese rock or pop music. I also love Jazz music.

Despite what it may sound like, I'm not at all a "weebo" or "Japanophile"- I don't wish I was Japanese and I wouldn't really like to live in Japan (too rushed and crowded for my taste...though I wouldn't mind visiting again!).

And, despite what it sounds like, I'm probably nothing like you would think, unless you already know me.


This journal is all about my life, school, friends, favorite music and musicians, and my favorite and currently-watching Jdoramas.
